History of community funding:
Auchrobert Community Energy Society's Community Fund has provided £78,000 of funding to local organisations since it was set up in 2021. Grants awarded include:
Blackwood Estate Community Association - £2,880 for tree planting at Loch Wood
Hamilton Drive Residents' Association, Dungavel - £2,500 towards a replacement polytunnel and shed for their community garden
Healthy Valleys - £5,000 towards repairs to the PV panel inverter and battery system at Thornton Rd Community Centre
Lesmahagow Community Council - £1,500 to install bird boxes
Strathaven Rugby Club - £5,000 towards the cost of installing PV panels on their training hub
The Church at the Cross, Larkhall - £4,000 for a bike mechanic to run pop up bike workshops
Woodpark Primary Parent Council, Lesmahagow - £4,000 towards an outdoor learning and play hub
St Mary's Parent Council, Larkhall - £2,500 towards an outdoor classroom.
Coalburn Miners' Welfare - £1,000 towards an active travel celebration.
Milton Primary, Lesmahagow - £800 for sports strips.
Coalburn Homing Club - £350 towards pigeon transporter insurance.
Dungavel Residents' Association - £4,650 towards a community gardening project and bus stop refurbishment
Muirkirk Bowling Club - £5,000 for energy efficiency improvements
Muirkirk Creatives - £2,040 for a container to store items of furniture for reuse.
The Rural Development Trust - £5,000 for an active travel project in Carluke, Stonehouse and Larkhall.
Climate Action Strathaven - £10,000 for a home retrofit training suite.
